The main topic of the congress is blow-up, and more generally the appearance
of singularities in finite time in mathematical models of interest in mechanics,
chemistry and other disciplines.
The first
edition of this workshop took place in Bratislava (Slovakia) in September 2004, and the second edition in Madrid (Spain) in September 2006.
