素粒子理論特論A
授業のテーマと目標 : 全体的なテーマとして「現代数学と量子論」という標題を掲げる。いくつかの話題を用意し、聴衆の関心と予備知識に合わせて話題を選択して解説する。現代数学の概念に親しみ、新しい視点を通して物理学を理解することを目標とする。講義内容 : 以下の講義内容を予定しています。(話の順番は入れ替わるかもしれません。)

Constraints on radion in a warped extra dimension model from Higgs boson searches at the LHC

ゲージ階層性問題は素粒子物理学における未解決問題のうちの１つであり、標準模型を超える新しい素粒子模型を研究する強い動機となっている。湾曲した余剰次元模型 (Randall-Sundrum模型) はゲージ階層性問題を自然に解決できる、新しい素粒子模型の有力な候補であるということが知られている。この模型の一般的な帰結はラディオンというスカラー粒子が存在することであり、その４次元有効理論での標準模型粒子との相互作用はヒッグス粒子のそれと似ている。本講演では、このラディオンの質量およびラディオンの結合定数に対する、LHCでのヒッグス粒子探索実験の結果から得られる制限について評価した結果を報告する。

Classically conformal B-L extended Standard Model and Phenomenology

我々はプランクスケールで、フラットなポテンシャルを持つB?L模型を考えた。この模型ではB-L対称性はColeman-Weinberg機構によって破れ、電弱対称性はB-L対称性の破れがトリガーとなって破れる。フラットポテンシャルを仮定すると、B-L対称性の破れのスケールは自然とTeVスケールになり、TeVスケールに新粒子が出てくるため、LHCやILC実験などで検証可能性な模型となっている。この模型の詳細と予言について紹介する。

電弱バリオン数生成の最近の進展について

最近ヒッグス粒子に関する実験データが出たことにより、電弱バリオン数生成の検証は大きく進展しつつある。特に、電弱バリオン数生成が成功する為の条件の一つである 『電弱相転移が強い一次』に対して実験からの制限がより強くなった。このトークでは、まず始めに電弱バリオン数生成のメカニズムについて簡単にレビューし、その後、超対称標準模型に於ける最近の進展について紹介する。最後に課題と展望を述べる。

Graviton oscillation in viable models of bi-gravity
Recently, it became realized that one can construct covariant ghost free bigravity models. Among the parameter space of such bigravity models, we found that a category of cosmologically viable model exists. The predictions in this category of models are very close to those in general relativity. However, the propagation of gravitational waves can be modified significantly at some particular range of frequency depending on the model parameters, which might be observed in future gravitational wave experiments. We also discuss the embedding of such models into higher dimensional braneworld setup.

時空の隠れた対称性に関する最近の進展について
よく知られているように、時空の対称性はキリングベクトルとよばれるベクトル場によって記述される。一方、テンソル場によって記述される対称性は時空の隠れた対称性とよばれ、ブラックホール時空の研究において重要な役割を果たしてきた。本講演では、カーブラックホール時空における隠れた対称性のレビューから始め、その高次元ブラックホール時空への拡張について紹介する。また、隠れた対称性を持つ時空の一般的性質についても概説する。後半に、時空の隠れた対称性に関する最近の進展や残されている課題、今後の展望について話したい。

Renormalization group approach to Quantum Gravity
In the last century, theoretical physics witnessed two important major revolution: Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity. First one addresses the physics at small scales while second one explains a large number of phenomenas ranging from astrophysical to cosmological scales. However there are situations at very high energies which demands a theory which can explain and understand what goes on at those high energies? The effort to develop such a theory goes under the research field with a name `Quantum Gravity' (QG). At present there are many approaches to QG. Perturbative quantum gravity is one such approach and is also the oldest among all the approaches that are practiced today. In this approach one uses the usual Quantum Field Theory (QFT) methods to study theories of gravity. QFT has been very well tested in experiments and it was used with great accuracy to explain large number of phenomenas where effects of gravity are irrelevant. The success of QFT to explain non-gravitational quantum phenomenas motivated one to use the same methods and apply it to gravity. This talk is based on the application of methods of QFT to gravity:its success and its failures.
