Research field : Sociology, Migration studies, racism/ethnicity
Research outline: Why do you people migrate? What is nationality, race and/or ethnicity? How are they interwoven? My research has been concerned these questions. International migration is an outcome of many, so many various factors such; it is experienced individually and, at the same time, takes place in the networks of families, regions, class, as well as national policies of sending- and accepting countries. In very short, I am always so fascinated by the notion of nation-state; my research is a trial to understand functions of the nation-state in international migration as individual experiences.
