This center is aiming to solve global environmental issues through "Environmental Genomics" which handles genes related to interaction between the environment and organisms.
Research Center for Environmental Genomics has a role of;

  1. education and research by Research Center's professors
  2. education and research by another faculties' members in Kobe university through using center instruments
  3. arrangement of the technical training courses and seminars
  4. others (e.g. to provide recent information about recombinant DNA experiments, to support DNA/protein sequencing and microarray experiments, and so on..)
