Research plan/methods
Japan and the United States, which lead research on earthquake disasters and on disaster prevention, will set improving resilience of created built environments as a common goal and build a sustained network capable of sharing research resources that each organization has acquired to achieve this goal.
Specifically, [1] research on resilience in the built environment on hundred-year scale will be carried out, [2] resilient structure research to implement high-functioning architecture hardware, [3] a standard test environment for RTHS testing that will permit two-way verification of research outcomes will be constructed.
