Since the B. subtilis genome sequencing project meeting in Paris in 1990, the BACELL meeting series has been held annually as an international conference to discuss academic, industrial and technological development of studies on B. subtilis and its related organisms in Europe.

2023年度グラム陽性菌ゲノム機能会議はBACELL2023との合同開催と致します。1990年以来の日欧共同研究体制の記念碑とも言えるイベントです。枯草菌のみならずグラム陽性菌全般について最新のゲノム機能に関する研究情報を発信・交換する機会です。是非とも積極的にご参加ください。

BACIP European student travel award
Thanks to the generous support of Bacillus Industrial Platform (BACIP), 10 European students will enjoy 1,000 EUR of the travel award for each. The awardee will be selected based on the quality of the submitted abstracts. This time, we might consider early career Postdocs as well.

Proposed Venue & Accomodation

Venue: The Kobe Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Ariston Hotel (connected to KCCI)

Easy access - Located on Port Island, a man made island directly in front of downtown Kobe.
Meeting rooms are located on the 3rd floor of the Kobe Chamber of Commerce and Industry while poster sessions and exhibition take place on the 2nd floor.
All dining and function will take place in the adjacent Ariston Hotel Kobe which connects to the chamber of commerce via undercover walkway to make for a convenient and compact venue space.
