About Laboratory

- Lab Policy -

・Think and act flexibly and proactively.
・Impossibility is created by the human mind. Never easily say "I can't do it."
・Do our best in the study and play. A balance in everything is important.
・Problems do not occur in the laboratory, but on the site.
・We aim for a collaborative system where students and teachers respect and trust each other as researchers and cooperate with each other.

- Lab Life -

・The research method is based on model experiments, field experiments, and numerical analysis.
・The completion of projects requires the subjects of soil mechanics, structural mechanics, and so on.
・We have a lot of opportunities of interacting with outside organizations including the Ministry of Agriculture(MAFF), Hyogo prefecture, and the National Institute of Rural Engineering(NARO).
・Joint seminars with Osaka Metropolitan University are held two or three times a year to polish presentation and discussion skills.

- Research & Presentation -

・When joining the laboratory, you become a member of The Irrigation, Drainage and Rural Engineering Society and The Japanese Geotechnical Society.
・When you joined the laboratory, you are assigned a research project to work towards a conference presentation.
・Undergraduate students aim to present at least one conference and graduate students aim to present more than that including overseas conferences.
・Our goal is to publish research papers as well as conference presentations.
