JaLTER
The Marine Site of KURCIS has been registered as one of the core-sites of JaLTER(Japan Long-Term Ecological Research Network) since JaLTER is established.JaLTER officially has joined in ILTER (International LTER), the networks of LTER on August 2007.
International Long Term Ecological Research (ILTER) consists of networks of scientists engaged in long-term, site-based ecological and socioeconomic research. The mission is to improve understanding of global ecosystems and inform solutions to current and future environmental problems.
There are 15 core-sites equivalent for our Marine-site in Japan. And 2sites, including our Marine site, are of the places for Ocean.
