　We are working on fundamental sciences and device technologies in the next generation photonic devices which combine electronics with photon. By utilizing quantum effects appearing in semiconductor nanostructures, new, high-performance photonic devices, such as ultra-fast optical switch, optical amplifier, new generation solar cells, and novel light sources, can be realized.
