一般相対性理論の基礎方程式であるアインシュタイン方程式は、非線形偏微分方程式で、その解析は難しく、かつ多様で複雑な現象をもたらす。 本講義では、非線形物理学の観点からこの一般相対性理論およびそれから導かれる興味深い重力現象について解説する。 内容としては、軸対称定常時空と逆散乱法相対論的重力と力学系時空のダイナミクスなどを考えている。

String theory admits an (almost) infinite number of vacua, called the string Landscape. In this talk, we will present two different yet complementary approaches to understanding it. In the first part, we will present the Swampland program, which is focused on finding the “stringy criteria” an EFT should obey in order to be UV completed into string theory. In particular, we will focus on the Weak Gravity Conjecture (WGC), explaining how it can be understood from infra-red consistency, using analiticity and causality. We will then move on to illustrate the statistical approach to the Landscape. In this context, we will show how the Racetrack K\"ahler uplift model can solve the CC problem and, when it does, how a new scale $m\sim100$ GeV automatically appears. We conclude by pointing out how the probabilistic nature of string theory might shed light on lepton mass distributions and how to use such an insight to make predictions on neutrino masses.

An enormous amount of four dimensional effective field theories can be obtained from compactifications of string theory, forming a set known as the string landscape. It has been suggested that, beyond this landscape, there exist consistent-looking effective field theories that cannot be embedded into UV complete theories of quantum gravity, in particular into string theory. They are said to belong to the swampland. I will describe some of the conjectures that define the swampland and implications they have on models of inflation and dark energy, addressing recent concerns about the KKLT proposal to obtain de Sitter vacua in string theory.

In this talk, I will first have a brief introduction about cosmological collider physics. Afterwards, I will talk about two aspects of particle production in the early universe. The first is the Schwinger effect. Under a electric field during inflation, charged scalar fields can be produced. They will cause angular dependence on the primordial power spectrum and bispectrum. The second part is about gravitational production of super- heavy dark matter during inflation. We will investigate the appropriate parameter space of such scenario, introduce new method of calculating particle production and explore the cosmological consequences.

スカラーテンソル理論とは、計量に加えてスカラー自由度を一つだけ含んだ修正重力理論の枠組みである。 近年では作用に高階微分を含んだスカラーテンソル理論の拡張が盛んに研究されており、それら一連の理論は「縮退高階スカラーテンソル理論」と呼ばれている。 一般にスカラーテンソル理論におけるブラックホール解は非自明なスカラー場の配位 (「スカラー場の毛」) を持ち得るが、実際には多くの理論においてそれを禁止する「無毛定理」が知られている。 ところが後になって、この無毛定理の仮定を破ることで、計量が静的であるのにもかかわらず時間依存したスカラー場の毛を持つような興味深いブラックホール解が発見された。 本講演では、縮退高階スカラーテンソル理論において、このような時間依存したスカラー場の毛を持つ静的球対称ブラックホール解を求める一般的な処方を与え、またその摂動に対する安定性を議論する。

一般相対論において時空特異点の発生は避けては通れない問題である。時空特異点は、量子重力理論などの超高エネルギー領域における重力の未知の効果によって解消されると期待されている。したがって、もし特異点が生じないような（古典）重力理論が構築できれば、それは、高エネルギー領域における重力の有効理論の有力候補と考えられる。曲率制限理論はこのような狙いで作られた重力理論であり、曲率スカラーの値に上限を与えることができる。本講演では、従来の曲率制限理論における宇宙論的解の安定性の解析と、近年注目されている新しい曲率制限理論とその安定化について議論する。

A significant fraction of exoplanetary systems is known to exhibit spin-orbit misalignments. This surprising fact has been mainly revealed by a spectroscopic method, known as the Rossiter-McLaughlin effect for transiting planetary systems. This method measures the projected angle between the stellar spin and the planetary orbital axes, but is insensitive to the obliquity of the stellar spin with respect to the observer. Asteroseismology offers a unique method to infer the stellar obliquity in a complementary fashion. In this talk, I will first review the current statistics of the observed spin-orbit angles and proposed models for the origin of the misalignment. Then I will show our recent work on the spin-orbit architecture of transiting planetary systems using asteroseismology, and discuss its implications.

理論を構築する際に必要となる条件の一つが余剰自由度に起因するゴーストの回避条件である。スカラー場やベクトル場などボソン的自由度については高階微分理論に拡張すると余剰自由度が生じ、オストログラドスキーの定理によりその余剰自由度がハミルトニアンの半有界性を破ることが知られている。一方、理論がフェルミオンを含む場合には、1階微分までの作用でも余剰自由度が存在し得て、その余剰自由度がやはりゴーストとなる。まず、純粋なフェルミオン系ではゴーストフリーな拡張が難しいことを見る。続いて、解析力学でフェルミオンとボソンの共存する1階微分作用でゴーストを回避出来る縮退条件を調べたのち、ローレンツ共変でゴーストフリーな拡張理論の例を示す。

After reviewing entropy bounds and recently proposed swampland conjectures, I will discuss their implications to some models of inflation.

I will review the recent development of formulating Hydrodynamics as an action on the Schwinger-Keldysh contour. This formalism provides a systematic way to study fluctuations in a system. Using this Hydro-action, I will describe how we can capture the renormalisation of the transport coefficients at 1-loop order systematically and how might the pole structure of propagators be affected by the loop correction to self energy.

場の量子論の醍醐味の１つは「ミクロとマクロの現象を理論的に繋ぐ」ところにありますが、その上で散乱振幅の解析性やユニタリー性、因果律といった整合性条件が有用なことが知られています。本講演ではこのような話題への入門的内容として、「weak ボソン散乱の（摂動的）ユニタリー性からヒッグス粒子の存在がどう予言されてきたか」「高エネルギーでの粒子スペクトルと低エネルギー有効相互作用の符号がどう関係するか」といった基礎から最近の進展までをレビューを多めに紹介します。時間が許せばインフレーション宇宙論への応用も議論します。

宇宙論、特に初期宇宙論においてトンネル効果は様々なところに登場する。 まず、真空崩壊の基礎的なことを復習する。 どのような現象においてトンネル効果が重要であったかを振り返り、 今後、重要となるような現象に関する展望を話す予定。

2012年にLHC実験でヒッグス粒子が発見され，素粒子標準模型が完成した．しかしながら，階層性問題などを踏まえると，電弱対称性の破れの背後には，素粒子標準模型を超えた新物理の存在が期待される．新物理の可能性は多岐にわたるが，未知の新物理を系統的/網羅的に調べる際に有力となるのが，"有効場の理論(EFT)" を用いた方法である．本講演では，まず初めに，電弱対称性の破れ現象を記述するEFTの構成方法を紹介する．ここで構成するEFTは，対称性だけでは決まらない多くのパラメータを持つが，UVでの振る舞いが摂動的である場合，それらのパラメータが制限される．本講演では，EFTから計算される散乱振幅のユニタリー性を調べることにより，摂動論的なUV理論が，EFTのどのようなパラメータ領域に対応するかを議論する．最後に，これまでに得られている実験結果と比較することにより，電弱対称性の破れの背後の物理が摂動論的であるのか，あるいは非摂動論的であるかを議論する．(参考:arXiv:1904.07618)

自然界には、様々なニュートリノ発生源が存在する。 ニュートリノは、天体物理学や宇宙論とも深く関わっているが、ニュートリノそのものに対する理解も、 今のところ十分ではなく、実験的・理論的な研究が盛んに行われている。 本発表では、観測の話も交えながら、ニュートリノと宇宙物理学の関わりについてレビューする。

In flat space, four point scattering amplitudes at weak coupling can be fully determined from Lorentz symmetry, unitarity and causality. The resulting scattering amplitude depends on model details only through coupling constants and the particle content of the theory. I will show how the analogous story works in the case of inflationary fluctuations. I will present explicit expressions for weakly coupled inflationary three and four-point functions, whose shapes depend on the field content of the theory, and do not depend on the specific inflationary model, as long as the fluctuations minimally break de Sitter symmetry. This ``cosmological bootstrap” is a first step towards classifying all possible shapes of primordial non-gaussianity, which can be searched for in experimental data. If time permits, I will also present results for cosmological correlation functions of spinning fields.

Intersecting/magnetized D-brane scenarios lead to many attractive models of particle physics, because they yield fermion chirality and supersymmetry breaking. A problem in these scenarios is the appearance of tachyons. It has been widely believed that it can be removed by choosing an appropriate point in moduli space. We compute one-loop moduli potentials and find that the only extrema of the potentials are saddle points.

Advanced LIGOとAdvanced Virgoは2019年4月から、O3と呼ばれる3回目の長期観測運転を行っており、日常的に重力波検出を報告している。KAGRAも本年度中にこの共同観測運転に参加予定である。本セミナーではこれらの重力波検出器を支えるレーザー干渉計技術を解説し、今後の重力波観測の展望を述べる。これらの検出器の究極的な感度は量子力学で決まるが、干渉計を構成する数10 kgの鏡が本当に量子状態となるのかというのは未解決の問題であり、重力波検出器はそれ自体が面白い研究対象となっている。本セミナーでは重力波検出器のミニチュア版を用いて古典-量子境界を探るテーブルトップ実験についても紹介する。

近年、現象論的興味と数学的興味から、ブラックホール上の微分形式場の解析が進められている。本トークでは、一般次元球対称BH上の微分形式場を解析する方法をまとめ、これによって得られる性質と観測量（準固有振動）を与える。さらに、時間に余裕があればLuninによって整備されているKerr BH上でのベクトル場の解析方法についても触れる予定である。

ブラックホールの事象の地平線の半径に極めて近い半径をもつ、地平線を持たない非常にコンパクトな星が存在する可能性が議論されている。このような星とブラックホールを識別することは原理的に可能だろうか?この問に関して、本講演では、地平線を持たない星の量子論的な粒子生成に関する我々の最近の研究結果 [1, 2] を紹介する。我々は、球対称性を仮定し、コンパクト星が重力崩壊によって形成され、その重力崩壊は半径が 2GM/c2 に非常に近くなるまでは「標準的に」進み、その後急激に減速して静的な星が形成されたと仮定する。標準的崩壊段階では、Hawking 輻射的熱輻射が放出される。その後の減速段階では、放射の詳細は星表面のダイナミクスと境界条件に依存するが、典型的には反射境界の場合には一回、透過境界の場合には二回のバースト的な粒子生成が行われる。これによって、地平線を持たない星をブラックホールから識別することは可能であるが、ブラックホールの存在を実証することは原理的に困難である。

スピンの集合体がスピン波と呼ばれるマクロな状態を成すとき、これを量子化し、準粒子とみなすことができる。 この準粒子はマグノンと呼ばれ、Cavity quantum electrodynamics の分野で盛んに研究されてきた。 特に、2017年にはマグノンの量子状態が初測定されるなど、実験技術の発展が目覚ましい。 本発表では、マグノン実験を宇宙論へ応用することを考える。 その一例として、マグノン実験がアクシオンダークマター観測に応用できることを説明し、 実際の実験データからアクシオンダークマターへ制限を与える。

The canonical quantization of general relativity that leads to the Wheeler-DeWitt equation is a conservative approach towards a theory of quantum gravity that is particularly useful to analyze the quantization of symmetry-reduced cosmological models. In this talk, I will give a review of how this approach has been applied in the last years to study the question whether singularities that appear in classical cosmological models can be avoided in the quantum theory and whether quantum-gravitational corrections to the inflationary power spectra can be observed in the Cosmic Microwave Background.

We analytically determine the quasinormal mode (QNM) frequencies of a black hole with quadrupole moment in the eikonal limit using the light-ring method. The generalized black holes that are discussed in this work possess arbitrary quadrupole and higher mass moments in addition to mass and angular momentum. Static collapsed configurations with mass and quadrupole moment are treated in detail and the QNM frequencies associated with two such configurations are evaluated to linear order in the quadrupole moment. Furthermore, we touch upon the treatment of rotating systems. In particular, the generalized black hole that we consider for our extensive QNM calculations is a completely collapsed configuration whose exterior gravitational field can be described by the Hartle-Thorne spacetime [Astrophys. J. 153, 807-834 (1968)10.1086/149707]. This collapsed system as well as its QNMs is characterized by mass M, quadrupole moment Q and angular momentum J, where the latter two parameters are treated to first and second orders of approximation, respectively. When the quadrupole moment is set equal to the relativistic quadrupole moment of the corresponding Kerr black hole, J2/(Mc2), the Hartle-Thorne QNMs reduce to those of the Kerr black hole to second order in angular momentum J. Using ringdown frequencies, one cannot observationally distinguish a generalized Hartle-Thorne black hole with arbitrary quadrupole moment from a Kerr black hole provided the dimensionless parameter given by |QMc2-J2|c2/(G2M4) is sufficiently small compared to unity.
