Development of advanced gas barrier membranes
Development of silica based organic-inorganic hybrid gas barrier membranes
Our target is to prepare eco-friendly silica based organic-inorganic hybrid gas barrier membranes with high gas barrier, heat resistance and surface hardness using sol-gel method.
We are developing noble organic-inorganic hybrid gas barrier membranes with high gas barrier property using inorganic segment (silica) and organic segment (polysaccharide, such as starch, chitosan, cellulose).

Development of organic-inorganic hybrid gas barrier membranes using layered compounds (clay)
Our target is to prepare eco-friendly organic-inorganic hybrid gas barrier membranes with high gas barrier, heat resistance and surface hardness using surface modification.
We are developing noble organic-inorganic hybrid gas barrier membranes with high gas barrier property using cross-linking reaction with surface modified inorganic nanosheets (from layered compound) and cross-linking agents.
